Hi All,
AA Chinese Tennis Club is a local sports organization. Most of the members are UM Chinese students and Chinese professionals in Ann Arbor area. We play tennis on regular and unregular schedule. And we hold Annual Ann Arbor Chinese Tennis Open every year. We also organize parties several times a year. It is time for us to recruit new members. Both beginners and higher level tennis lovers are welcome to join the club. It is FREE. We will provide beginners with TENNIS CLASSES as we did successfully before. Here are the details: Skills to be emphasized: Beginner tennis lessons for students will stress skills such as forehand, backhand, grips, volley, serves, and game fundamentals. Lesson dates and times: 6 classes from June 8 to July 19 2014, it depends on when we achieve class size. The regular time will be Saturday afternoon: 4:00-6:00PM. Wednesdays or Sundays will be reserved as back up dates. 1.5 hours for each class and a total of 8 hours of instruction. Location: Huron High School, Ann Arbor (back up location: Skyline High School, Ann Arbor)
Instructors: Current active members with a level from 3.5 to 4.0 (NTRP rating), with one chief plus one or two assistants in each class. Lesson Structure: 1, warm-up and stretching 2, Basic stroke technique. The chief coach will talk and demonstrate how to properly move and to hit the ball 3, practise without and with balls. 4, Individual instruction. Coaches will observe every student closely and help each one to improve his format. 5, Rackets control drills. Hit the balls continuously with running left and right.
Fee: $50 per person, which includes tennis balls, club ball machine maintenance and 8 hours of instruction. Compared to over $100 fee attending other tennis lessons, our $50 fee can also give you an experience to play a match. Students must provide own rackets. Or you can rent a demo racquet for 5 dollars per two day from Cayman Sports, which is a high-end tennis equipment vendor in Ann Arbor. The fee is due the beginning of each session. All fees are non-refundable. Chief coach and other assistant coach are all volunteers. The collected fee is to organize parties and buy some tennis facilities for the club. Class size: we plan to recruit around 12 students for the class. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please contact for the membership and tennis class.
